Abstract: Ah neen dush is a professional development partnership between the University of Minnesota and the White Earth Reservation Head Start program in Northern Minnesota that supports and mentors Head Start teachers as they create discovery-based science and mathematics activities infused with Ojibwe philosophy and tradition. Found at this site are the guiding principles of Ah neen dush as well as the professional development format. Links to a culturally based inquiry lesson plan template as well as examples of three culturally based inquiry units are provided.
