Abstract: These guides have been designed to help teachers make adaptations so that infants, toddlers and preschoolers with disabilities can participate in early literacy learning activities. The guides are written for parents and educators and describe everyday home, community and childcare learning opportunities that encourage early literacy learning.

Integration: The information presented in these guides fits well with content presented in the early childhood courses Child Development; Child, Family and Community; Curriculum Planning; Infants, Toddlers and Twos; Introduction to Early Childhood Education and Language and Literacy Experiences.

Content Focus: Adapting Environments; Child Development; Child, Family and Community; Curriculum Planning; Inclusion; Infants, Toddlers and Twos; Literacy; Parents

Notes: Have students choose one practice guide each, using the information to demonstrate to class members how adaptations make it easier for young children with disabilities to participate in early literacy learning activities.
